Thrissur, Kerala – June 5, 2025:
St. Mary’s College (Autonomous), Thrissur has proudly unveiled ‘NutriFin’, the first product under its flagship MicroInnovate program – a student-led initiative that supports microbiology innovations with real-world impact.

🌟 What is MicroInnovate?

MicroInnovate is a unique skill development and entrepreneurship initiative launched by the Department of Microbiology. The program provides financial aid and technical mentoring to transform microbiological ideas into viable market products and sustainable businesses.

🧫 NutriFin: A Kerala Innovation in Organic Farming

Developed by second-year postgraduate students Ms. Ariya Manoj and Ms. Afrah, NutriFin is a fermented fish amino acid fertilizer. It is:

• Organic and eco-friendly
• Rich in plant-growth-promoting nutrients
• Designed to improve soil health
• Ideal for sustainable farming practices in Kerala

The product was officially presented to Dr. Sr. Meena K Cheruvathur, Principal of St. Mary’s College, on June 5, 2025, during a campus event celebrating local innovation.
