Two day National Seminar on ‘Recent Advances in Basic and Applied Life- Sciences’ organized at St. Thomas College (Autonomous), Thrissur on 6th and 7th December, 2024.

The Research and Post Graduate Department of Zoology celebrated 50 years as a Research Centre, the first research centre of the College, by organizing a two day National Seminar on ‘Recent Advances in Basic and Applied Life- Sciences’ on 6th and 7th December, 2024.

Prof. Dr. C F Binoy (HoD and Dean of Science) welcomed the gathering. Rev. Dr. Martin K A (Principal) delivered the Presidential Address.

The seminar was inaugurated by distinguished alumnus Prof. Dr. Anil K S, Hon. Vice Chancellor of KVASU. Prof. (Dr.) M. Nasser, former Pro Vice Chancellor, University of Calicut, delivered the Keynote Address.

Dr. Britto Joseph K (Former Dean of Science), Dr. Joyce Jose ( Dean of Research), Mr. C A Francis (President OSA- STC, Thrissur) felicitated the gathering.

Former HoDs and faculty members, research guides, Ph D awardees and distinguished alumni were honoured.

Mr. M S Sasi (President OSA – Zoology, STC) proposed the vote of thanks.
