Sabarinath Jayan & Athira B from Christ College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda won the Mega Campus Quiz 2K25

The Quiz Club of St. Thomas College (Autonomous), Thrissur, in collaboration with Catalyst Education and CampusNews.in, successfully organized the Mega Campus Quiz 2025. With the support of eight colleges in Thrissur, the event witnessed a record-breaking participation of over 1,200 students from various colleges across the district.

Winners of the Mega Campus Quiz

After multiple competitive rounds, Sabarinath Jayan & Athira B from Christ College (Autonomous),Irinjalakuda , emerged as the champions. The quiz had an impressive total prize pool of ₹60,000, distributed as follows:

• First Prize: ₹10,000 (Winner – Sabarinath Jayan & Athira B)
• Second Prize: ₹2,500 each (4 teams)
• Third Prize: ₹1,000 each (40 teams)

Quiz Format and Zonal Rounds

The zonal rounds commenced on January 21st and concluded in February. These rounds were held in 8 different zones and 4 sub-zones, with quizzes directly conducted by the St. Thomas College quiz team in association with the zonal colleges.

The semi-finals and finals took place at St. Thomas College, Thrissur. The questions in the zonal rounds were prepared by Mr. Mestin, Assistant Professor at St. Thomas College. The grand finale was hosted by Dr. Sanand Sadanandan, an esteemed quizmaster.

Students’ Experience and Appreciation

Participants expressed great excitement and appreciation for the professional organization of the Mega Campus Quiz. Both students and faculty praised the structured and engaging nature of the competition.

This event highlights the growing interest in competitive quizzing among Kerala’s college students. With such overwhelming participation, it sets a new benchmark for campus quiz competitions in Kerala.

St. Mary’s College Autonomous Thrissur, Nirmala College of Arts and Science meloor chalakudy, St Joseph’s College Irinjalakuda, MES Asmabi College P vemballur, Prajyoti Niketan College, Pudukad, Christ College, Irinjalakuda Autonomous, Naipunnya College Pongam, St. Aloysius College, Elthuruth, were the sonal colleges and sub zones were Sree Krishna College GURUVAYUR, MET’S College of Advanced Studies, Mala, St Joseph’s Arts & Science College Pavaratty and Ansar College Perumpilavu
