Empowering Educators through NEP 2020 Initiatives in Kerala

Marian Arts and Science College, Koduvayur, successfully hosted a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on June 16, 2025, focusing on the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The FDP aimed to equip faculty members with a deeper understanding of the academic and pedagogical reforms shaping Kerala’s higher education landscape.

Inaugural Session and Expert Insights

The event commenced with a warm welcome and introduction of the resource person, Dr. Jiju A. Mathew, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, St. Thomas College, Thrissur, by Rev. Dr. Sr. Prima, Principal of Marian College.

Inaugurating the programme, Dr. Jiju highlighted the transformative nature of FYUGP and stressed the importance of maintaining academic excellence amidst change. His address offered valuable insights into adapting teaching methods to meet NEP goals.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Deepa, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce. She acknowledged the efforts of the organizing committee, the leadership team, and all faculty participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
