Samrudhi by Entrepreneurship Development Club of St. Thomas College Thrissur (Autonomous)

The Onam Samrudhi event, organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Club on 9th September 2024 at Palocaren Square, was a remarkable initiative that combined education with hands-on business experience. It provided students with a unique opportunity to create, market, and sell their own products. With over 40 items on display, the fair was a delightful experience for everyone involved.

The event was inaugurated by the esteemed Principal, Dr. Fr. Martin, and Dr. Ejas Ahammed, Industries Extension Officer from DIC Thrissur, at 1 pm in Palocaren Square. Onam Samrudhi featured a diverse range of products, including traditional Onam attires, jewelry, organic fruits and vegetables, snacks, fresh juices, sweets, syrups, paintings, Pookkalam designs, bags, and more. Many student participants successfully generated income through their sales.

This initiative serves as a great example of how educational institutions can merge academic learning with real-world entrepreneurial practice. The event was coordinated by student leaders Adithyan T. A., Harith K. H., Rosna K. Thomas, Aleena Rose, Christo Varghese, and Arunima V. G., under the guidance of faculty coordinators Dr. Sindhu George, Dr. Jilna John, Dr. Johns Naduvath, Dr. Gini Paul, Dr. Bini, and Dr. Linni Wilson.
