This initiative aimed to promote traditional crafts, life skills, and community engagement, making it an enriching experience for students from various institutions in Kerala. Inauguration Ceremony ๐ Date: January 20th๐ Venue: Studio Hall, Chetana College๐ Chief Guest: Sh. Vishwanatha Pulavar The event began with a warm welcome by Dr. Saji M P, followed by an introduction to the program’s objectives by Mr. Thomas John Emmatty, Coordinator and Faculty, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. The chief guest delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the importance of life skills and traditional crafts in modern education. Event Highlights ๐จ Live Craft Demonstrations Expert artisans from the Ministry of Textiles showcased traditional crafts such as: โ Potteryโ Wood Carvingโ Mural Paintingโ Leather Puppetry Students got a hands-on experience, learning the intricacies of these artistic traditions. ๐ญ Life Skill Workshops Engaging sessions were conducted to develop essential life skills, including: โ Communication and Teamworkโ Creativity and Problem-Solvingโ Time Management and Leadership These sessions empowered students with practical skills for personal and professional growth. ๐ Student Participation This collaborative event witnessed enthusiastic participation from: โ Chetana College Students โ Departments of Journalism, Film & TV, Graphic Design, Animation, Multimedia, and Visual Communication.โ External Students โ Around 50 students from Paramekkavu College, ICE School, and St. Joseph School. The program encouraged a cultural exchange, fostering a strong sense of community among students. ๐ Social Extension Activities The initiative focused on community outreach by engaging students from nearby schools and colleges. This effort strengthened cultural ties and encouraged active participation in preserving Keralaโs artistic heritage.
