🏛️ Workshop on IPR and Patent Application Filing at St. Berchmans College, Changanassery

St. Berchmans College (Autonomous), Changanassery, will host a Workshop on IPR and Patent Application Filing on 12 September 2025. The event will take place at Cardinal Padiyara Hall from 9 am to 4 pm.

The workshop is jointly organized by the Research and Development Cell and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college, aiming to spread awareness on intellectual property rights (IPR) and the patent application process.

Two distinguished experts will lead the sessions:

• Dr. K. T. Varughese (Intellectual Property Counsel & Patent Agent Exam Trainer)
  • Topic: Innovations Management in Academia: Avoiding Legal Pitfalls in Patent Filing
• Dr. Jacob George (Patent Agent)
  • Topic: Fast Tracking Patent Application in Aided Colleges

Their expertise will help participants understand the legal, academic, and practical aspects of patent filing in Kerala’s higher education ecosystem.

• Research Scholars with Fellowship – ₹250
• Other Scholars & PG Students – ₹100
