Literaura 2025 – English Association Inauguration at St. Joseph’s College Irinjalakuda

The Research and Postgraduate Department of English at St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda inaugurated its English Association for the academic year 2025–26 through the flagship programme Literaura. The event, held on 19th August 2025, was a proud moment for the college community in Kerala.

• Special Lecture by Tenzin Tsundue
  The inauguration featured an insightful lecture by Tenzin Tsundue, renowned Tibetan writer and activist, on the topic “Writing Exile: Poetry, Culture and Politics”. His thought-provoking talk highlighted the struggles of exile, cultural identity, and the power of literature as a tool of resistance.
• Student and Faculty Participation
  The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, research scholars, and faculty members, making it a vibrant academic gathering. The interaction with the guest speaker inspired students to explore literature beyond textbooks and connect it with society and politics.
