Innovative Practices in Traditional Medicine – A Visit to Thaikattu Moose Ayurveda

The Institution’s Innovation Council and the Department of Mathematics jointly organized a program titled “Innovative Practices in Traditional Medicine: An Insightful Visit to Thaikattu Moose Ayurveda” on 29th January 2025 at Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Museum, Thaikkattussery. The event aimed to provide participants with a deeper understanding of traditional Ayurvedic medicine and its innovative practices. Through this visit, students and faculty explored the historical and cultural significance of Ayurveda, gaining practical insights into its methodologies, medicinal plant usage, and traditional healing techniques. The program fostered interdisciplinary learning by highlighting the intersection of mathematics and Ayurveda, encouraging innovative thinking and research possibilities. Participants also had the opportunity to engage with experts in the field, expanding their knowledge and networking for future academic collaborations. The faculty coordinator, Ms. Jincy T P, played a crucial role in organizing and facilitating the event, ensuring smooth execution and active participation from students. Under the guidance of the HOD, Ms. Dolly Augustine, and the Principal, Dr. Sr. Beena Jose, the program successfully enhanced awareness of Ayurveda’s role in modern healthcare and inspired students to explore new avenues in traditional medicine and scientific research.
