 Vimala College reading week 2024 celebrations

The vimala college library in collaboration with the department of and the department of malayalam had organised ANALECTA 2024 (the reading week) from 19th June to 25th June 2024 as a part of the national reading day(june 19th) celebrations . A number of competitions as well as a book sale were conducted as a part of the celebrations. The program was Inaugurated by renowned malayalee author Nimna Vinya Author of ( ഏറ്റവും പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട എന്നോട് ) .

Ms.Nimna addressed the gathering and engaged in a Q and A session with the students . She shared a lot about her experiences in life and the circumstances that had led her to writing. Her talk was awe inspiring as well as motivating. Some of the competitions held as a part of the reading week were readathon , book review competition, quiz ,spelling b , mystery book hunt etc. The week helped the student community to reconnect with books and find time for self discovery through reading in this era of internet and social media.
