Constitution Day Celebration by
National Service Scheme Units 49A & 49B of Sree Narayana College, Chengannur, was held on 26th November

The Constitution Day celebration organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) Units 49A and 49B of Sree Narayana College, Chengannur, was held on 26th November 2024 in the college. The program began with the NSS song, sung enthusiastically by the volunteers, symbolizing unity and service. Kiran Murali, the NSS Volunteer Secretary, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the significance of the day in promoting democratic values and constitutional awareness. The presidential address was delivered by the Principal, Dr. Sindhu Pratap, who emphasized the importance of understanding the Constitution and its role in shaping the nation. Sabari, a first-year BA student, presented the Preamble of the Indian Constitution with clarity, reminding the audience of its principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Fathima, a second-year BA student, followed with a presentation on Article 51A, highlighting the fundamental duties of citizens in preserving national integrity and promoting harmony.
The invited talk by Dr. Ajith Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, Sree Narayana College, Chengannur, was the highlight of the program. He provided an insightful and inspiring speech on the evolution and significance of the Indian Constitution, urging the youth to uphold its values. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Megha Murali, a second-year B.Com student, who expressed her gratitude to the Principal, guest speaker, faculty, and NSS volunteers for their contributions to the event’s success. The celebration was a meaningful experience that reinforced the importance of the Constitution and inspired students to embrace their roles as responsible citizens.
