🎉 Gandhi Jayanti Celebration at Marian Arts and Science College, Koduvayur

Marian Arts and Science College, Koduvayur, observed Gandhi Jayanti on October 3, 2025, with great enthusiasm and devotion. The event was led by Rev. Dr. Sr. Prima, Principal of the college, whose guidance and motivation ensured the success of the celebration.

🌿 Event Highlights

The morning assembly, organized by the III B.A. Economics students, set the tone for the day.

• Gandhi Jayanti Speech: Ms. Manjula Krishnan, Staff Secretary, delivered an inspiring speech on truth, non-violence, and simplicity, the core values of Mahatma Gandhi.
• Pledge Ceremony: Mrs. Manjula Krishnan also led the Gandhi Jayanti pledge, reaffirming the commitment of staff and students to Gandhian principles.

🧹 Campus Activities

To mark the occasion, several competitions and activities were held under the Principal’s direction:

• Campus Cleaning Competition
• Speech Competition on Gandhiji
• Pencil Drawing Competition on Gandhiji

The II B.A. History students won the award for maintaining the cleanest campus. The Principal congratulated all the winners and encouraged students to carry Gandhiji’s ideals into their everyday lives.

☕ A Perfect Kerala Touch

The celebration ended on a cheerful note as students enjoyed a traditional treat — kappa (tapioca) with green chutney and coffee — giving the event a warm Kerala flavor.

🙏 A Tribute to Gandhian Spirit

Faculty and non-teaching staff actively participated, offering wholehearted support. Their teamwork reflected the unity and dedication that Gandhiji envisioned for a harmonious society.
