On January 6, 2026, they organized a comprehensive Industrial Innovation Immersion Visit. Crucially, this initiative operated under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC). The Santhome Innovators Program (SIP) also supported the event. The organizers aimed to show students how innovation drives efficiency in the real world. Therefore, the itinerary included visits to two distinct major enterprises: Oushadhi in Thrissur and KSE Limited in Irinjalakuda. Consequently, students witnessed the practical application of quality and sustainability concepts across both public and private sectors. Oushadhi: Modernizing Ancient Wisdom Initially, the group visited Oushadhi. This public-sector giant creates Ayurvedic medicines. Here, students experienced a unique blend of knowledge. They observed the innovative integration of traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with modern production technologies. Furthermore, the facility demonstrated how standardized quality systems work alongside ethical sourcing. Notably, Oushadhi maintains sustainable manufacturing practices. Thus, the students learned that innovation respects tradition while embracing the future. The visit highlighted how public enterprises can effectively modernize their operations without losing their cultural essence. KSE Limited: Efficiency Through Automation Subsequently, the team moved to KSE Limited. This visit offered a contrasting perspective on large-scale manufacturing. Specifically, the students focused on automation and process optimization. KSE Limited employs data-driven supply chain management to stay competitive. Moreover, the facility showcases advanced quality assurance systems. These systems significantly enhance productivity. Therefore, the Industrial Innovation Immersion Visit provided a complete picture of industrial management. Students saw firsthand how technology streamlines complex operations. Redefining Innovation Ultimately, the immersion proved that innovation extends beyond mere technology. Instead, it encompasses managerial practices and operational redesign. Additionally, resource efficiency plays a vital role in modern business success. This initiative reinforces the institution’s commitment to experiential learning. In conclusion, St. Thomas College continues to develop future-ready graduates. By exposing them to such diverse industrial environments, the college ensures they become socially responsible leaders. The Industrial Innovation Immersion Visit was a resounding success for all attendees. 🎓 Stay Connected with Campus Round!Want the latest campus updates, student achievements, sports highlights, events, Campus News and more — right on your phone? 👉 Join our WhatsApp Group to never miss a story! 📢 Share your School/College News Here?We love featuring student stories, event updates, and campus highlights from across the country! ✍️ Click here to publish your campus updates on CampusRound.com Click Below 👇 & Share This News WhatsApp Facebook Twitter LinkedIn CopyCopied Post navigation Focus on Tech: Media Studies Dept Collaborates with Photolink St. Thomas College Honors Distinguished Alumnus Bishop Mar Joy Alappatt
