Seminar on “The Role of Psychologists in Promoting Well-being” organized @ Vimala College (Autonomous), Thrissur

On 6th December 2024, Department of Psychology, organized a seminar on “The Role of Psychologists in Promoting Well-being” featured a comprehensive presentation by Mr. Devapramod V.B. He began by differentiating between psychologists, social workers, and psychiatrists, highlighting their unique roles in mental health care. Mr. Devapramod also discussed therapy versus counseling, emphasizing the importance of tailored interventions for individuals. The session covered various branches of psychology and their relevance to understanding the human mind. Additionally, Mr. Devapramod touched upon licensing requirements, career opportunities, and the future scope of psychology. The interactive Q&A segment allowed students to clarify doubts and gain valuable insights, making the session engaging and informative.
