Vimala College Wrestling Team Triumphs in Calicut University Intercollegiate Women’s Wrestling Championship

The Vimala College wrestling team emerged as champions in the Calicut University Intercollegiate Women’s Wrestling Championship held at the Vimala College Indoor Stadium. The team secured an impressive total of 46 points, claiming nine gold medals and one bronze in the 10 weight categories.

Seven athletes from the team—Saniya, Mridula, Hridhya Venu, Tinswi Sajeesh, Ranees, Jahan Farin, and Bhuvana—will represent the Calicut University at the Inter-University Championship.

St. Mary’s College, Thrissur, achieved second place with 15 points, while the University Teaching Department secured third place with 8 points. A total of 50 women wrestlers from 17 colleges participated in the competition.
