Thrissur: Empowering Students Through First Aid and CPR Training

The “Restart a Heart Day” program, held on 16 October 2025, at St. Thomas College (Autonomous), Thrissur, successfully concluded with great participation and enthusiasm.
The initiative aimed to enhance students’ awareness and skills in Cardio-Respiratory Life Support (COLS) and First Aid.

Program Overview

• Jointly organized by the Department of Economics, St. Thomas College Thrissur, and the Rotary Club of Trichur West
• Designed to provide hands-on training in COLS and First Aid to students of St. Thomas College HSS
• The session was led by Dr. Binil Isaac Mathew, Cardiac Anaesthesiologist at Jubilee Mission Medical College, Thrissur

• Venue: Menachery Hall
• Included practical demonstrations and interactive guidance on essential life-saving techniques
• Students practiced CPR and learned to manage medical emergencies effectively
