Anti-Drug Awareness Program Conducted at Marian Arts and Science College, Koduvayur

An inspiring anti-drug awareness program was recently held at Marian Arts and Science College, Koduvayur, Palakkad. The event aimed to create awareness among students about the dangers of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free campus environment.

Event Highlights

The program was organized in association with the Vimukthi Club and IQAC of the college. It began with a serene prayer, setting a positive tone for the day.

Ms. Vismaya, the program coordinator, welcomed the guests and participants warmly.

Keynote Session by Civil Police Officer

The event was officially inaugurated by Mr. Vipin C, Civil Police Officer from AR Camp, Kallekad. He also served as the resource person, delivering a powerful session on the psychological and social consequences of drug abuse.

His talk was informative and thought-provoking, giving students a deeper understanding of how drug addiction affects youth, families, and society.

Support from College Leadership

Dr. Sr. Prima, Principal of Marian Arts and Science College, delivered the presidential address. She reaffirmed the college’s dedication to maintaining a drug-free campus and protecting students’ physical and mental health.

Ms. Jayasree, Assistant Professor from the Department of Commerce, gave a brief yet respectful introduction of the guest speaker.

Student Activities: Procession & Flash Mob

After the formal session, students actively participated in a procession through the campus, spreading the message of anti-drug awareness.

A vibrant flash mob followed, capturing attention and encouraging more youth to engage with the cause.

Taking the Anti-Drug Pledge

The program concluded with a meaningful anti-drug pledge led by Chairperson Nandana. All attendees solemnly vowed to stand against drug use and promote awareness in their communities.

The Arts Club Secretary delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating everyone who contributed to the event’s success.
