This year’s theme, “Beat Plastic Pollution,” aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of plastic and the need for sustainable alternatives.The program began with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome address by Major Dr. Alphons Ligori T. O., Principal of the college.The event was officially inaugurated by Mr. S. P. Ravi, environmental activist and Director of the River Research Centre, who emphasized the importance of youth-led environmental action.Felicitation addresses were delivered by Rev. Fr. Dr. Wilson Tharayil CMI, Director of the college, and Mr. Davis Ukken, both of whom appreciated the green initiatives taken by the institution and encouraged continued commitment to eco-conscious living.The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Mathew Antony, NSS Volunteer. As a symbolic gesture of environmental responsibility, mango saplings were planted in the old block by the Principal, faculty members, students, and NSS Program Officer Mr. Manoj Devassykutty, reinforcing the message of nurturing nature.The event concluded successfully, inspiring participants to take active steps in reducing plastic use and preserving the environment.
