The Department of History organized a road walk to honor Ayyankali, the legendary social reformer of Kerala. Event Highlights Students carried placards with strong messages such as: “The right to walk is the right to freedom” “Educate to Liberate” The peaceful march went from the college campus to Parlikkad route, commemorating Ayyankali’s revolutionary struggle for equality and justice. Symbolic Tribute The walk symbolically retraced the historic Villuvandi Samaram (bullock cart strike). This reminded everyone of Ayyankali’s defiance against caste discrimination and his fight for the right to walk on public roads. Legacy of Ayyankali The event served as a reminder of his tireless efforts: Securing access to public education for marginalized communities. Fighting against caste-based restrictions. Inspiring generations to strive for social justice and inclusivity. Kerala’s Pride For students and the wider community, the walk was not only an act of remembrance but also a call to uphold Ayyankali’s legacy in building a more inclusive society. His vision of equality (samaadhikaravum samaathwavum) still resonates deeply in Kerala today. 🎓 Stay Connected with Campus Round!Want the latest campus updates, student achievements, sports highlights, events, Campus News and more — right on your phone? 👉 Join our WhatsApp Group to never miss a story! 📢 Share your School/College News Here?We love featuring student stories, event updates, and campus highlights from across the country! ✍️ Click here to publish your campus updates on CampusRound.com Click Below 👇 & Share This News WhatsApp Facebook Twitter LinkedIn CopyCopied Post navigation Previous Post
