Department of Food Technology Conducts “Food for Thought” Intersem Quiz Competition

The Department of Food Technology at Nirmala College of Arts and Science, Meloor successfully organised “FOOD FOR THOUGHT,” an intersem quiz competition for Food Technology students on 27 July 2026. The event provided an exciting academic platform where students showcased their knowledge of Food Science and Technology through healthy competition.

The quiz competition was conducted at Room No. C 118 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. It brought together Food Technology students from different semesters, creating an engaging atmosphere filled with learning, teamwork, and enthusiasm.

Knowledge-Based Competition Strengthens Academic Learning

The programme focused on subjects related to Food Technology and aimed to enhance students’ understanding of their discipline. Throughout the competition, participants demonstrated their academic skills while working together as teams.

The event encouraged students to think critically and apply their classroom knowledge in a competitive setting. At the same time, it promoted healthy academic interaction among students from different semesters.

Winners Honoured with Certificates

After the successful completion of all quiz rounds, the scores were compiled and the winners were announced.

Certificates for the First Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prize were presented to the winning teams by Ms. Suma Menon, IQAC Coordinator, Nirmala College of Arts and Science (NCAS).

The prize distribution recognised the outstanding performance of the winning teams and motivated students to continue pursuing academic excellence.

Programme Achieves Its Objectives

The Food for Thought Quiz Competition successfully achieved its objectives by providing an engaging platform for students to test and enhance their knowledge of Food Science and Technology.
