The programme was held as part of the World Entrepreneurship Day 2026 celebrations. The department conducted the event in association with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The expert talk took place on 10 August 2026 (Monday) at the Nirmala Seminar Hall. It was conducted from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Expert Talk Focuses on Entrepreneurship and Innovation The session focused on “Product Development and Entrepreneurship in the Innovation Economy.” The programme aimed to create awareness among students about entrepreneurship and innovation. It also introduced students to product development and opportunities in the emerging entrepreneurial ecosystem. Such sessions help students understand how innovative ideas can move beyond concepts. They can also provide valuable exposure to the practical aspects of developing products and building entrepreneurial ventures. Zaara Biotech Founder Leads the Session The expert session was led by Mr. Najeeb Bin Haneef, CEO & Founder, Zaara Biotech. Drawing from his entrepreneurial experience, Mr. Najeeb Bin Haneef shared valuable insights with the students. His session focused on transforming innovative ideas into viable products and entrepreneurial ventures. The interaction offered students an opportunity to learn from an entrepreneur with practical industry experience. Therefore, the programme connected academic learning with real-world entrepreneurship. Nirmala College Promotes an Entrepreneurial Mindset The initiative highlighted the growing importance of entrepreneurship and innovation among students.
