The programme was organized by the PG Department of Travel and Tourism Management on 14 August 2026. The session was held at the Theatre Room, Nirmala College. It brought students closer to an accomplished tourism professional and academician from Kerala. The interaction aimed to connect classroom learning with real-world practices. It also encouraged students to explore different career pathways within the tourism sector. Nirmala College Organizes Alumni Interaction Session The PG Department of Travel and Tourism Management organized the session for students pursuing BTTM and MTTM programmes. The event created an opportunity for students to interact directly with an experienced tourism professional. Moreover, it offered practical insights into the changing opportunities within the tourism industry. Such alumni interactions can help students understand professional expectations beyond academic learning. They also provide valuable perspectives on building a career in tourism. Mr. Sifad Siddique Leads the Interaction The session was handled by Mr. Sifad Siddique, Assistant Professor of Tourism Management at GPM Government College, Manjeswaram. Mr. Sifad Siddique is one of the notable alumni of Nirmala College. His academic and professional experience added value to the interaction with students. He has more than 7 years of teaching experience in public and private higher education institutions. In addition, he has 2 years of professional experience in the travel and tourism industry. His career includes academic positions at reputed higher education institutions. Academic and Professional Experience Mr. Sifad Siddique has served as Assistant Professor at: JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi Lovely Professional University, Punjab GPM Government College, Manjeswaram His experience across teaching and the tourism industry provided students with a broader view of career development.
