Energy Club Inaugurated at Sree Narayana Guru College, Nattika

Promoting sustainable thinking among students, Sree Narayana Guru College of Advanced Studies, Nattika, inaugurated its Energy Club with a vibrant and informative ceremony.
The initiative highlights the growing focus on renewable energy and energy efficiency in Kerala’s higher education sector.

Inauguration Ceremony Highlights

The inauguration ceremony was held on campus with active student participation.
The event was presided over by Dr. Shibu S, Principal of the college, who emphasized the role of youth in building a sustainable future.

The Energy Club was officially inaugurated by Willy Kiran C. S., ECE Engineer, who addressed the importance of clean energy transitions.
He also encouraged students to adopt responsible energy practices in daily life.

Student Leaders and Faculty Participation

The function began with a welcome address by Pavithra, Student Coordinator.
Her speech highlighted the objectives and vision of the Energy Club.

Following this, Pooja, College Union Vice Chairperson, and Sooraj Krishna, Fine Arts Secretary, conveyed their felicitations.
They appreciated the college’s initiative towards sustainability and student leadership.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sathyajith, Student Coordinator, acknowledging all contributors.

Debate on Fossil Fuel Phase-Out

After the inauguration, a debate competition was conducted on the topic:

“Phasing Out Fossil Fuels: An Imperative for India’s Energy Transition.”

Students actively shared perspectives on India’s energy future.
The debate encouraged critical thinking and awareness on climate action, a growing concern in Kerala.

Building a Sustainable Campus Culture

The Energy Club aims to:
